There’s a surprising amount of content to be found in Vault-Tec Workshop, the latest DLC for Fallout 4. Including an entire quest line, the Vault-Tec Workshop is more than just simple construction tools. That being said, there are a ton of new things to build in the DLC, so let’s get started with some of the easy ones. Conducting ExperimentsWith Vault-Tec Workshop, you’ll be able to experiment on your settlers. The four main experiments are seen in the story mission, and are the Power Cycle 1000, the Phoropter, the Soda Fountain and the Slot Machine.Each object has three different tests. To run a test, you’ll have to power up both the object and a terminal.

Attach the terminal to the object, then select the experiment you want to run. To see the results of your experiments, build a Vault Overseer desk and access the computer there. Fixing Up Vault 88Probably the most amazing part of the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC is the Vault 88 space. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore, and it seems to just keep going on and on. For the best way to fix up Vault 88, walk around while in the Workshop menu and SCRAP EVERYTHING.This includes not only the obvious things like the train cars and crates, also scrap the limestone rocks, the huge equipment, the uranium deposits found in the walls and ceilings and everything else that you can highlight.WARNING: When tearing down huge walls like landslides and limestone deposits, get a weapon ready. Most hidden areas have high-level creatures including radscorpions and a glowing deathclaw. Not fun to stumble into if you aren’t properly prepared.Once you’ve scrapped all the useless junk, use some of the structures already in place to keep the vault going.

This is also the only area in Fallout 4 where you will actually be able to build a vault underground if you so choose. Build Your Own VaultIf you want to, you can build your own vault on any settlement you want. Again, these vaults will be entirely above ground, so keep that in mind when choosing where to build. Make sure you include a fancy vault door!Make sure you also include a radio beacon if you want to attract settlers to your vault. When you start getting settlers, be sure to build a Vault-Tec Population Management System. This terminal will allow you to keep track of your settlers, and the jobs you have assigned them.So what do you think?
