I've been fighting with this printer for a decent while, but I'm at wits end at this point. This user is trying to print shipping labels from UPS Worldship using a Zebra (GX420d) that is shared through another user in the same office space.I can print test labels in windows and Worldship just fine, but when he tries to print actual labels to ship with it does not print the barcode section of the label, just the top address portion.
I've looked in all the settings I can think to check and so far have came up dry. Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated if anyone has experienced similar problems. To ensure that it was not fonts related I copied the contents of the fonts folder from the user who was not having problems over to the user who is and the problem persists. I do believe I had narrowed it down to a settings problem, because when I signed on as an administrator to the users PC and tried to print a test label, it printed out without the barcodes, but if the user herself is logged in then the test print shows the barcode just fine. I'll have to look into the settings a bit more to find out, but I just wanted to update this. We have Zebra LP 2844 after system crash, reinstall OS and WS2017, restore archive, everything works except the label doesn't print barcode!
Run UPS diag tools result nothing wrong, the printer driver is straight from Zebra site, and WS from UPS. There's no additional barcode fonts requirement mentioned by UPS, after wasted many labels, we finally narrow down to the printer on OS level needs to setup same paper size as UPS WS application!!, the Zebra install default was 2x3, as soon as it match 4x6, all is good. Don't understand why WorldShip doesn't take care pass the print job parameters to printer(it is listed compatible model), and it is not mentioned in UPS FAQ setup or trouble shoot. The key is not margin, it's the paper size in the OS.
