Original Post. In my documentnts to Electronic Arts Folder to the sims 3 folder. In the sims folder you will find the saves folder. In the saves folder delete any saves that have 'Bad' on the end of them. Also dont use your save option use the 'Save As:' feature below save. Rename your file and save as.

I did a little digging, and in the save game folder I saw the 4 typical game files: the TravelDB.package, the Meta.data, another.dat file, and the world's.ndh file, the biggest one. I assume this is the actual world file, so I made a copy of it and turned the copy into a.package file by renaming it.

One has a.backup extension that you can use if the other one goes south on you (delete the first one and then remove the.backup extension to make it loadable).If you're going to copy saves over to another computer, make sure that the installed mods (including EPs) on the new computer are the same as the old one. Some of that mod info is going to get baked in with the save and trying to load without the mod being present will make the save unusuable.
